As the time passes he was becoming more & more successfull until he was one of the biggest independent enterpenure and maintained his position for more than a decade. Who knows one day Chrome will similarly beat out all the browsers in the market. Till then enjoy with your favourite browser. Also FF before becoming popular than IE was a very tiny browser. Backend is much more improved as I read in a certain tech forum. Some expert specialist mentioned that IE should have put those features in their browsers in the first place, and with Chrome coming out, the competition is going to be intense, and as for us consumers we are looking at getting some great, non-crashing browsers because all others are going to improve their backends.
