Few years ago, as I became aware of the contamination of the tap water I became highly conscious of my family drinking contaminated water that contained high levels of chlorine, fluorine and heavy metals. Studies also show it contains high level of lead or arsenic which could be extremely dangerous for children and pregnant women.

Why not bottled water?

After studying the surveys and studies, I decided to switch to bottled water. Every grocery trip I would bring home huge crates of bottled water, only to store them in my garage. Idea of recycling was in my mind, but disposing all that plastic into a landfill was something I was not comfortable with. And to top it all off, I later came to know that bottled water may not be safe after all as well. There is no guarantee that they do not contain all those heavy metals found in tap water.
