What is Giftag? Giftag is an online web application. It lets you create a shopping wishlist, store product pictures or registries of the items you like. You can compile a list of anything and everything on the web and share with your family and friends. Giftag works with any online retailer and helps you pick anything. If you are creating a registry of gifts for any special occasions, you do not have to stick with one particular retailer, and list things from one place. Instead you can go global online.

How giftag works? It’s pretty simple to use Giftag. Basically, after you install Giftag in your browser, Giftag icon will sit in your browser bar. You click on the Giftag icon, pulling up a window at the bottom for adding items to the list. Giftag supports a microformat standard called hProduct. This formatting is suitable in embedding HTML, RSS, Atom. You just need to click on the items you wish to add, and all the details and specifics will be added to the Giftag window. You can also add tags and create a new list.

After you have created a wishlist, you can share it with your friends and family. They can click on the same links and make purchases.

Currently, they are integrated with Facebook. Plans are in order to integrate with other social networking sites as well. This will be very beneficial for such groups as this will make an easy share of links within your social groups interested in online shopping. It does not cost anything to use this application.
